CompSci Releases XBRL Web Service Capable of Rendering XBRL Data in Real-Time
(Alexandria, VA) February 24, 2009 - CompSci Resources, LLC announced the release of a unique Web Service which allows any data in XBRL format to be rendered in real-time using its proprietary dynamic processing technology. With this technology, XBRL data available on the Internet can be converted to documents which are human readable simply by supplying the location (or URL) of the instance document. With the increased use of XBRL data to promote transparency in business and financial information, CompSci’s Web Service allows public issuers to display their XBRL financial reports without complicated or expensive software. Also, the Web Service gives any person interested in analyzing financial data the ability to convert electronic data stored in XBRL format to standard html, Excel or pdf documents. More information about the new Web Service can be accessed at http://xtensibledata.com, a new interactive data website featuring CompSci’s suite of XBRL products and services.
Xtensible Data’s website also features the XBRL analytical tools and instance document creation tools developed by CompSci, a leader in the development of XBRL technology. Xtensible Data’s website is fully powered by CompSci’s real-time XBRL rendering engine, and offers both free and paid subscriptions to CompSci’s unique web-based XBRL software tools, including:
